Salida Whitewater Park was built by the City of Salida in conjunction with the Arkansas River Trust, an organization devoted to promoting and enhancing river related values in the Upper Arkansas Valley.

The Whitewater Park has two play spots. The webcam shows only the the upper playhole. The lower spot is a wave at most levels, and is recommended a higher flows.
